I also lead the Intelligent Architectures for Computing Sytems research group. My current research is focused in the area of hardware acceleration for AI, parallel architectures and networks-on-chip, and modern memory systems. (publications)
I received my PhD in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 2011. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of undertaking several wonderful research visits, including EPFL in Switzerland (2009-2010), Malardalen University (MDU) in Sweden (2018), and TU Dresden in Germany (2019).

Teaching
I teach one undergraduate and one graduate course from the list below each semester. In addition, I teach the Seminar in Computer Architecture course for graduate students and Research Methods and Presentation Skills for undergraduate students every semester. I used to offer a gradaute course named Chip Multiprocessors (CMPs), which was replaced with the Embedded AI course in 2024. You can find CMP videos on Maktabkhouneh (a local version of Coursera) using this link.
Graduate:
-Interconnection Networks
-Embedded Artificial Intelligence
Undergraduate:
-Computer-Aided Design of Digital Systems
-Real-Time Embedded Systems
-Smart Internet-of-Things Laboratory
Research
My current research projects include:
-AI acceleration on FPGA for LLMs, video processing, and healthcare
-Emerging memory systems and processing-in-memory
-Edge AI for IoT systems
In recent years, we have expanded our research through international collaborations, particularly with the Heterogeneous Systems Research Group at Malardalen University, Sweden. This partnership has resulted in the publication of over 30 joint papers.
You can find my publication list here.
